This is a crazy story…
Today I got banned from one of the world’s biggest advertising networks.
They thought I was a scammer.
At least, their computer algorithms meant to catch scammers had flagged me and my website.
I knew they were wrong.
But I also knew that many people in my industry — direct response copywriting — have a pretty low bar as far as what they consider to be ethical. Let’s just say there’s a reason for the policy.
So I pushed back.
I asked for a review. I told them that, like them, I try to call out those questionable practices — and offer legitimate alternatives.
And what happened next surprised me.
