When is the right time to switch from learning to doing marketing?
I got this question in my new private Facebook group for BTMSinsiders members.
And while I initially answered it there…
I thought it was worth pulling out — and answering here, too…
Going into a even more detail, adding to the original answer.
Here’s the initial question…

Having a dilemma as a new copywriter –
I want to go out and land my first client but I feel that I still lack the knowledge to provide enough value for business owners.
At some point in the future, I will need to approach potential clients but I have no idea when is the “right time” to step outside the learning zone.
So far I’m still binge-watching High-Velocity Copywriting, and will continue on The Copywriter’s Roadmap To Building A Core Offer & Sleight of Pen later on.
Roy, would appreciate if you are able to provide your thoughts on this situation. If you’re busy – that’s fine. You’ve already provided tons of value for us. Thank you for your time.
