I hate “swipe file copywriters”…

That is, the copywriter who uses other people’s ads…

To write their own copy…

Largely by copy-and-pasting their way to a final draft.

And I’m NOT alone.

Every top copywriting client I know will ban you for direct stealing…

Because let’s be honest…

This kind of swiping copy IS stealing.

It’s taking a piece of writing that is protected by international copyright law…

And reusing it without permission for commercial gain.

Which can get you in some hot water if you get caught.

BUT, I also study others’ copy…

And even sometimes do a little swiping myself…

So the question is: where is the line between swiping and stealing?

And what can we as copywriters do to stay on the right side?

The answers are in today’s video.

Watch now.

Yours for bigger breakthroughs,

Roy Furr
