I’m NOT usually a fan of attempts at viral marketing…

It’s hard to argue with the success stories — like the Harmon Brothers nailing the rainbow unicorn poop for Squatty Potty.

BUT…

For every success, there’s probably 10,000 wannabe viral advertisements in the viral marketing graveyard.

And as a direct marketer who has to live and die by my results…

I almost never recommend a concept to a client with the thought, “that could go viral.”

I recently told a marketer and entrepreneur that my idea idea has “viral marketing” potential…

Why would I betray my principles here?

Well, this is a rare exception…

Where going for a viral advertisement and creating an advertisement that has the potential to bring immediate results can be accomplished with one ad.

And even if this idea never turns into viral marketing…

It could 100% turn into marketing that works and can scale at high ROI.
