One of the first things you do in a new industry or with a new client is to figure out the “rules” to follow…
Sometimes these are actual written rules, guidelines, or best practices.
Other times, they’re implied or suggested — for example, when a client sends you an example piece of marketing to model as you create yours.
If you do a really good job of following the rules, even moderate copywriting skills can get you similar results to what the client is used to. This is great, especially if you’re pretty new.
But if you want to create true breakthroughs, you need to learn to break the rules.
Yours for bigger breakthroughs,
Roy Furr
