Is it crass to lean on deadlines in an email campaign?

Is it rude to set an arbitrary deadline, and essentially ask prospects to “take it or leave it”?

I got a subscriber email yesterday that pointed in that direction…

And while I tend to agree with the sentiment…

It would be nice if we didn’t have to use deadlines and people would just buy things that would benefit them…
