Today’s economic data was a shocker…
As I discuss in today’s video…
The prediction was that we’d lose 8 million jobs. And unemployment would soar to almost 20% — Great Depression levels.
Instead, the economy added 2.5 million jobs and unemployment dropped to 13.3%.
We’ve just spent the last 2-3 months rocked to the core.
Life has been completely upended.
And we’re not back to normal yet.
In fact, today’s headline data has nuances, and will likely be revised.
Job recovery will not be equal.
And in the end, we’re likely to see the total job creation number revised down.
But it reflects this deeper human need.
We NEED normal…
When our lives are thrown into chaos, we seek order.
We want normalcy.
We want our old lives back.
We’re not going to get our old lives back.
But we are moving toward a new normal.
That includes hiring. That includes economic recovery.
And of course, there’s government stimulus that will likely cause some problems down the road, as the money starts moving and creates price inflation.
But what we’re seeing today is this drive to normal.
This is what your prospects need, too…
We’re all human beings here.
We all want this.
We’re sick and tired of our lives being upended.
And we will push back toward having that normal life again.
Hopefully in safe ways.
Hopefully in ways that reflect more care for each and every one of our fellow human beings.
But whatever it looks like, we want to feel “normal” again.
