Last year, I trekked to Stamford, CT, the home of the world headquarters of Boardroom, Inc., for a closed-door, invite-only workshop with Perry Marshall. I don’t remember the exact fee for this one-day event, but I’m pretty sure it was in the $2,000-$3,000 range… And worth every penny!

(It was also the precursor event to Titans of Direct Response, which if you’ve been on my list for any length of time you know I wrote the promotion for.)

For this event, Brian Kurtz challenged Perry. You see, this invite-only Boardroom crowd was a bunch of sophisticated direct response marketers. Some of the best and brightest in the industry.

And what Brian wanted from Perry — for the sake of the attendees — was…

Lessons both radically simple, AND profoundly effective at generating more profits…

The day-long event was packed wall-to-wall with great content.

Mind-altering approaches to re-thinking, re-shaping, and re-engineering not just your marketing, but your entire business…

His Swiss Army Knife method for getting inside the heads of your customers in a way I’ve never seen before…

Methods for creating new high-priced products that allow you to predict with baffling accuracy what type of response to expect (before the product or the marketing is even created)…

A deep dive into the content of his 80/20 Sales and Marketing book, before it even hit the store shelves…

And then, something that completely jumped out at me that could transform the way you run your business…

This is how you make a ton more money from your business as an internet marketing consultant… If you run an internet business, this is a crystal-clear way to see what to do to increase profits…

It’s called the Power Triangle…

And it looks like this…

perry-power-triangle

This is, simply, the secret to success in any internet business.

The “T” stands for traffic.

The “C” for conversions.

And the “E” for economics.

You must have traffic if you want to sell anything online. But not just any traffic, you must have traffic that converts into buyers. And it all has to happen with economics that support maximum profit output.

So what does this have to do with making a fortune as an internet marketing consultant?

It’s surprisingly simple.

There are a ton of people focused on a ton of different things that all call themselves an “internet marketing consultant.” Much of it is total trash. New software platforms. Content for content’s sake. Fans and followers on social media. And a whole lot more inane and completely irrelevant items to actually conducting business.

(That probably peeved a few of my readers, but the fact is that much of that is worthless and a complete waste of time… And if you disagree, bring on the unsubscribes!)

My secret to success, and that of the most successful, highest paid, and best respected internet marketing consultants is…

Focus on one or more of the three items in the power triangle…

Me? My main focus is conversions. That’s what great copy does. It converts website visitors and people on your list into buyers.

I also dabble in economics. That is, helping clients structure offers and sales funnels that will create the best possible economics… Allowing them to out-spend and out-profit competitors on new customer acquisition. (I say dabble, but this is probably my biggest point of impact in 80% of my client relationships.)

Traffic is probably my weakest spot. I know how to buy traffic. I’ve been responsible for hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in online advertising buys. But it’s certainly my weakest area of the three.

But here’s the thing. All of these — working together — have a direct and measurable impact on profits.

If you want to make real money as an internet marketing consultant, you MUST get good at one or more of the three areas. The better you are at ALL of them, the more money you’ll make.

And when it comes to things like social media “likes,” that have been proven for the most part to not be a predictor of traffic, conversion, or economics… Well, it’s a nice hobby. But don’t go around trying to sell that service, thinking it’s going to make you a fortune in the long run. Because even businesses who value it today will realize tomorrow that it’s not contributing to their bottom line… And their budget for your services will get axed. (That said, if you can convert social media followers into website traffic and BUYERS, you’re in a good space right now and the demand for your service will likely only grow.)

Where to learn more about how to use the Power Triangle to make mas dineros as an internet marketing consultant…

As I said, I first got this lesson “in the flesh” in Stamford, CT, from Perry himself.

You can’t go back in time to attend the event — and the DVDs for that event are still “in the vault” and unavailable to the public.

However, Perry did focus Chapter 6 of his 80/20 Sales and Marketing book on the Power Triangle, and its use in building an internet business (and consulting for internet businesses) — including what the 80/20 in the middle means and why it’s so incredibly important (and profitable).

And for right now — if you haven’t picked it up yet — Perry is willing to practically GIVE YOU the book…

It costs all of a PENNY plus a reasonable shipping charge…

And you get the PHYSICAL, HOLD IN YOUR HAND book (NOT an eBook!)…

PLUS exclusive bonuses from Perry…

Compare this to the $10.99 Kindle price on Amazon, or the $15.94 paperback price (without the same bonuses)…

And it’s an absolute steal (although based on the info in the book it’d be a steal at 10X Amazon’s prices)!

Here’s where to get Perry’s special PENNY offer for the 80/20 Sales and Marketing book…

I invest a lot of time, effort, and money every year into improving my skills and giving myself an edge (as you should, too). I learn from a LOT of teachers (as you should, too). But I can recommend Perry’s work without reservation because his teachings and insights are consistently among the highest-payoff investments I make in my marketing education. And at a penny, it’s almost impossible for this book to NOT payoff huge for you.
