What’s the secret to landing high-paying copywriting clients?

It’s remarkably simple, once you understand one key thing about what clients are willing to pay the big bucks for.

Today’s video is in response to a subscriber question…

Roy, I’m hoping you can point me to the copywriting gigs that pay well.  Where are these mystery clients at?  Thanks, C

Here’s the thing…

It’s NOT just about high paying clients…

It’s about high paying skills.

And the highest-paying skill you can develop as a copywriter is…

Generating sales!

The more reliably you can make sales, the easier it is to find high paying clients.

And so if you can first learn to make sales with your copy, then build your reputation for doing so…

Getting high-paying clients becomes easy.

And here’s another thing…

These are NOT mystery clients!

They are often the biggest players in each niche.

They show up in more ads, are represented at more events, and are talked about throughout the industry.

They’re very public.

They also need the most copy.

The more success they have, the more advertising they do, and the more copy they need.

Which means they also need a lot of copywriters.

The question is how do you get in?

My recommendation — which I don’t hear talked about much — is to figure out how you can de-risk the transaction.

That is, how can you, as the copywriter, reduce their risk of trying you out for the first time.

I put three recommendations in today’s video.

They’re different ways I’ve gotten in the door with different clients.

They all rely on this principle of taking on the risk as the new copywriter on the block.

And they’re all absolutely valid — even when you’re still learning.

But you absolutely have to make sure you also learn to write long copy that sells.

Because without that skill, your options become much more limited in terms of getting high-paying clients.

More details in today’s video.
